The coastline is dotted with sandy and pebbly beaches, perfect for swimming and water sports.

Its sea is calm on one side of the island, where Mikali streat is, it looks like a lake, we can admire seastars and dolphins, together with many other sea wonders.It sea is transparent, clean, with shades that go from emerald green to turquoise and very light blue.
Its beaches are very famous for the quality of the sea and for its white stones. Windsurf is practiced in a few beaches of the island, there is a windsurf school in Kokkari.
Samos has 6 Yatch harbours: marine at Pythogorio, kokkari, Iraio, Irmis marine at Ormos, Karlovasi, Vathi.
Samos is a paradise that seems far but it is so near and so well connected to the world.
It is very closed to Ikaria and many other islands. Ikaria, for example, can be reached from Pythagoreio (the port is 2 minutes walk from the house) in one hour and 15 minutes by Catamaran all year long and by bug ships from Vathy and Karlovasi 3-5 times a week. Ikaria belongs to the Prefecture of Samos, together with Fourni. Citizens of Fourni and Iakria come to Samos to many bureaucratic duties.
From Pythagoreio, and the other two ports, we can reach easily and almost every day in Summer: Patmos, Leros, Fourni, Kos, Rhodes and all the main Dodecanese Islands.
From the port of Pythagoreio, which is a very short walk from the house we can take every day (from March till November-December) day tryps not only to the above mentioned islands and around the island of Samos, but also to Turkey, to the port of Kusadasi (45 minutes Pythagoreio-Kusadasi).
From Vathy and Karlovassi we also have several boats per day going back and forth from Kusadasi and from Seferihisar.
Kusadasi is a cruise port and it is visited by millions of tourists from every corner of
the world. Many of them come to Samos for a day trip.Kusadasi is 3 hours driving
from Pamukkale and 6 hours driving from Istambul.
Both Kusadasi and Seferihisar are less than one hour driving to Izmir international
airport. From Izmir international airport we can fly daily and directly to any city of Turkey, of
Europe, of Russia, of Asia and to other many countries all around the world.
From Samos international airport from April till November we have direct flights to: Holland, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium. All year long several daily flights to Athens (40 minutes) and twice a week to Thessalonikki (50 minutes).

-2 hours from Izmir international airport (45 minutes boat from Pythagoreio to Kusadasi port and 1 hour maximum to Izmir international airport).
-10 minutes drive to Vathy
-45 minutes drive to Karlovasi.
Samos is the perfect place to feel in paradise, far from everything but so near everything, enjoying a very high quality of life in a simple, healthy and marvellous environment.
